Frequently asked questions
Answers about the YAS Tuning file service, how it works, supported tools, safety, stages, delivery and revisions.
How does the file service work?
Upload your stock ECU read, choose a stage and any options, and receive a checksum-corrected, ready-to-flash file with notes.
What tools are supported?
Mainstream tools including Alientech, Autotuner and CMD, among others.
Is ECU remapping safe for the powertrain?
We tune conservatively within factory component tolerances and validate checksums and maps for reliable daily use.
What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2?
Stage 1 is software-only on a standard vehicle. Stage 2 is matched to supporting hardware such as a downpipe or intake for larger gains.
Can I return to the original file?
Yes. We keep your original file on record so you can revert to stock at any time.
How long does delivery take?
Most orders are delivered the same day; turnaround is shown with clear status updates.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes, revision support is included so the file can be adjusted if needed.
What vehicles do you support?
Cars, vans, trucks, agricultural and other vehicles across 100+ ECU families. Browse the catalog by brand, model and engine to check yours.
What is a DPF, EGR or AdBlue solution?
These modify the ECU software controlling diesel emissions systems. We implement them cleanly for legally permitted off-road and diagnostic use.
Do you correct the checksum?
Yes. Every file is checksum-corrected for supported ECUs so it is accepted when you flash it.
How do I read my stock file?
Read the ECU with your tool (Alientech, Autotuner, CMD and others) and upload the original file, we build the tuned file from it.
Is my file kept private?
Your uploads and results are stored privately in your account and are not shared.
How much does a file cost?
Pricing is quoted per file in your dashboard and depends on the vehicle, ECU and selected options. Register to get a quote.
